Hi there, my name is Travis Edmunds.

 

My aim is to change the Pet game in Rockhampton by providing invaluable hands-on help to folk with pet issues of all kinds where they live.

I will come to you. We all know how hard it is to get that aquarium or one of its inhabitants to the pet shop for help right…

I can also clean for you while I’m there!

 

My Pop introduced me to the love of animals when I started collecting all types of Spiders for pets and breeding when I was 3.

My love developed into Birds and Reptiles and at 14 years of age I was having great success in keeping, breeding & hand raising various breeds of birds and reptiles, including a very special white cockatoo who has become quite a celebrity and will always have my heart.

 

My knowledge widely increased from 20 years working in a local pet shop where I absorbed and learnt anything and everything I could from the previous owners, colleagues, customers, vets, big bird breeders and zoo friends. My responsibilities increased into management and my dedication to the health, hygiene, wellbeing and happiness of the animals, staff and successful running of the store was very rewarding. I met lots of wonderful people with my knowledge and advice trusted by many.

 

I have been a wildlife carer and have raised and nurtured young, old, injured and sick wildlife animals of all kinds until they could be released back into their own environment.

 

For years I also worked as a high need's disability carer where I supported people with all types of disabilities. These people became a massive part of my life. Their family became my family. These people and my time as a disability carer taught me much more than just kindness and generosity.

 

Unfortunately, I quit the Pet Shop in October 2025 but working with animals, people with disabilities, and in management have taught me to be patient, good at problem solving, always help and be a bloody good cleaner!

My OCD doesn’t allow me to cut corners. I am very observant and have good attention to detail.
