Turtle Policy & Procedures 1. As I am not a veterinarian, I cannot diagnose or treat medical conditions. Please see a qualified vet for any health worries. 2. All advice given is just a recommended idea of what you should or shouldn't do with your animal and each animal is different in their own right. Getting to know your own animal personally is a vital part of having the privilege to keep an animal. 3. I can teach you many things with Turtles & their living arrangements. Everything I do and know about Turtles & Turtle homes comes from real, hands‑on experience. 4. To help keep your Turtle safe, I handle every animal calmly and carefully and follow good hygiene and handling practices. Turtles can be unpredictable and may move suddenly, so there’s always a small risk of minor stress or accidental bumps despite best efforts. If I notice any signs of discomfort or risk, I’ll pause and adjust the approach right away if that's what is needed. 5. I will not be accountable for Turtle loss due to water changing. Sometimes a water change can actually make tank conditions worse—especially if the tap water quality has changed, such as when the local council adjusts treatment and adds extra chemicals. 6. I’ll do my best to resolve issues like parasites, disease, ammonia spikes, and harmful bacteria, but some factors can be outside my control. While I’ll always aim for the best outcome, results can vary and it may take a few sessions to fully stabilise and correct the problem. 7. Cancellations: Please give at least 24 hours' notice for all changes or cancellations. Late notice will incur the full-service fee. 8. Property Access: If I cannot enter the site at the agreed time, waiting time is taken from your booking. After 1 hour of no access, I will leave and charge the full fee. 9. Equipment: Clients are responsible for repair or replacement costs if my equipment is damaged by others on-site. 10. Conduct: I have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of abuse, threats, or harassment. Such behavior will result in immediate cancellation of work without a refund and may be reported to the police. Your safety and my safety are my top priorities at all times.
